Rock Band Special Edition for the Nintendo Wii pre-orders have kicked off at Amazon.
The list price is $169.99 with free super saver shipping, but if the price dips between your pre-order and the ship date, you get the lowest price. They are showing the ship date as June 22, 2008 at this point. In addition, Amazon does not charge you until it ships, and you can cancel your order at any time.
If Guitar Hero for the Wii is any indication, these will be hard to come by once the product ships...

Super Smash Bros Brawl releases next week!
Four controller schemes are available to suit various players including:
- Wiimote
- Nunchuck
- Wii Classic Controller
- GameCube Controller
The consensus among gamers (and Sakurai (lead designer)) is that the Gamecube controller is best suited for Smash Bros.
According to Gamernode:
- In an interesting move, Sakurai, the lead designer of Brawl, chose to include four control schemes to suit all players. If you're new to video gaming altogether, you might want to try the Wiimote scheme. If you're a seasoned veteran looking for something new, give the Nunchuck or Classic controller a try. But of course, the majority of gamers will stick with the tried-and-true GameCube controller mode.
